So why do we associate it with baptism which is an act that has to be performed?

The thief on the cross next to Christ was saved without water baptism. Baptism by water is not a requirement. When the Bible speaks of baptism as necessary, it is speaking of spiritual baptism by the Holy Spirit. See Matt 3:11, Mark 1:8, and Luke 3:16. Baptism by water is something we do, which is only a symbol of being washed clean of our sin. It represents our death, burial, and resurrection with Christ. See Col 2:12, and Rom 6:3-5. This is why when Biblically carried out, full body immersion in water is the correct method of water baptism.

If you are trusting in water baptism (physical or fleshly baptism), you are trusting in the wrong thing. You must be baptized with the Spirit, not water. Rom 8:13.

Re: Shortest speech by CEO of Coca-Cola – very impressive

I totally agree to this and appreciate the fact that it is coming from management towards their employee. at the same time, employee should keep up the trust and strive towards work life balance by maintaining the rigor towards ownership and their responsibilities.

Re: Saint Moses the Black

scroll down
http://www.stmosesbookstore.or...

Re: Saint Moses the Black

Where can I get an icon of St Moses the Black?

Re: Monasticism

I WANT TO BE A MONK!
